SASSA Takes Expert Services to Fernie Neighborhood
Tuesday, August 27, 2024
The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently going to the Fernie 2 Community Hall in Mpuluzi to render providers into the community.
SASSA will probably be rendering solutions such as new social grant applications, change of payment method, client care enquiries, together with the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.
In an announcement, the agency mentioned it is alarmed with regard to the superior quantity of people relying on social grants for survival.
“The purpose on the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out into a substantial number of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.
“This is often due to lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no completely functional office dedicated to service the area regularly. The services position established for intervention experiences a large influx of prospective beneficiaries, which makes it tricky with the Workplace to attend to website all people who take a look at a service point.
“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise far more resources to enable the servicing of all prospects and raise access to Social Assistance solutions,” the agency said.
